i never update this thing.... uni's been great, i've made a few friends learnt a few things and done a few assignments me and jared are still going strong he visits whenever he can and i do the same, our 6 month anniversary is tomorrow so thats exciting, not sure what we're doing yet as we're both broke but we'll think of something i work up here in penrith now, the stores much bigger and there are way more customers but its good, keean still wont talk to me. i've never seen a fully grown adult be more immature then an 18 year old... he's still sleeping with laura and i havent seen him in person since before christmas... jazzy's grown up but is still a puppy, when i come to the door when i visit she barks then realises that its me and feels silly, its cute, i always bring treats for her though erin's living and working in london now and having an awesome time, case is over there with her and we talk on facebook and msn anyway i best be off getting ready for uni and all
what I'll remember... shot glass reflections running away (the best week of my life) drama class - changed me, gave me confidence watching movies and talking film with keean coffee shop jared schoolies formal night parties muck up day getting jazzy visiting uws with kat and jared my first paid editing job what I'll forget (or try too) fighting with keean that laura steel exists my uai fights with parents the hassles with shot glass 2008 was fun, hard, exciting, terrifying.... a lot changed and while I'm glad it's over, there are some things that i will never ever forget... what ever 2009 brings... i say, bring it on...
and with a click of the pen thus ended the trials. it's done, i rocked in some and failed in others Bree got to see my hair straight and we will all just have to wait and see whether we need to compleatly freak out before the HSC. other then that not a great deal has gone on the past 2 weeks ... yep study and procrastination is pretty much it. I'm going to Sydney for modern history on Tuesday which will be fun and will also hopefully make indo china make sense before the hsc. during one of my 'study breaks' i decided on a few more shorts i want to make after the hsc. so far i have the improv film, a dancing/gym arty thing with laura, i want to do something cool with hayley but i haven't decided what yet, and i;m also thinking about having another go at shot glass but doing it differently maybe more artsy and with different speculations and suff... just a thought haven't decided yet but i will speak to lauren about it later.
anyway I'm going to watch some everwood now
 hello again
so trials have well and truly begun, i've so far only done english paper 1 and modern history, english went surprisingly well though i said that last time and wasn't entirely thrilled with my results but i'm feeling fairly confident. modern went well considering i think i did good on Trotsky, Russia was fine, WWI was better then usual but indo china pretty much sucked but luckily for me i did know some answers which was nice.
Reflections (ext 2 film) is now complete which is wonderful. it turned out pretty well thanks to Keean’s input. not as good as i'd have liked but it looks pretty which is the point seeing as it's art house. went to josh's place yesterday for drama practice, we didn't really get a great deal done but we did discover that we still know the lines pretty much flawlessly which is nice and we re blocked one of the scenes.
starting to count down the days till my 18th. me and laura have discussed the guest list for our dinner we'll be having and thus far it's: me, laura, lauren, gary, jared, hayley, josh, kathrin, cherie, tony and possibly a few others. i'm thinking i may go out with keean after but i also may change my mind. also may go out with kat which should prove interesting.
i'm going to try and organize an improv film for the end of this year or beginning of next where me and a few others will wander around shellharbour and everyone (bar me as i don’t act) will have a different character and i'll film constantly and we'll see what happens. it's basically the way they made blair witch without the witchcraft creepyness.
anyway i should really go study or something.
as always its been far too long between posts.
trials are about to begin and I think the last week has been to most full on week of my life but i may get into that later, like after the trials or something. shot glass is finished, that’s right finished, which i am very glad about. have begun editing my ext 2 film - reflections which is good being as its due in finished on friday.
its been so long since i last updated that i cant even think of what to say... keean was in the newspaper the other week, that was exciting in a way, i'm just glad he didn't look like a complete idiot. david looks cooler but he always does. i turn 18 in 7.5 weeks which is exciting. me laura and some of our friends will be going out to dinner on the night and at some point after that i plan to go out with keean and/or kat which will prove fun, though i wish my 18th wasn't so close to the HSC i turn 18 then have exactly 7 days before the first english exam. damn. but after the exams i'm free to celebrate as much as i like :)
i want to make this updating thing atleast semi regular. like at least once a week like i use to but we'll see how that goes.
watched juno the other day, quite enjoyed it, also went to see dark night with lauren which was also brilliant am buying that one when it comes out for sure. speaking of buying dvd's i got brick, kiss kiss bang bang and fight club which makes me happy as i've been looking for them for ages. worked coffee shop a couple of times out side of school for the musical which was fun, lots of coffee was made and drunk and blake (a year 10 boy) is now officially part of the coffee shop team, i'll be happy to pass it on to him next year, he'll run it well.
ok so this entry is far to disjointed and while i do have a lot to say i think i'll save it till after the trials
am off to go study ... yay...
hmm I haven't updated in awhile....
so I was told by Keean I had to re shoot everything I had done thus far for shot glass which sucked but I’m almost finished the re shoots now which is good. I still have to do the opening scene and some pick ups but once that’s done I’m finished which is much better then I expected as I thought I didn't have nearly enough time to reshoot. Went to see ready steady cook be filmed at channel 10 studios in Sydney which was a brilliant experience. although I have little to no interest in being in TV it was interesting seeing how they went about filming it and how many camera's were used etc. I’d love to use a TV camera they look fun with the way your push them around and stuff. Steve the warm up guy was hilarious and the show itself was cool. That night I went to see the chasers stage show prac gig with my sister and met up with Jared who also went that day. That was awesome I love chaser! Was very entertaining I can't wait till the show comes back.
Went to short sited with Kathrin and Lauren. it was lots of fun. Kat straightened my hair which was fun and she provided all sorts of entertainment throughout the night from pushing in lines falling asleep during the show and trying to steal win TV signs afterwards. Simon (Keean’s friend) won the festival over all and we cheered nice and loud for his and Keean’s films when they played. Keean accepted the award thus me and Kat yelled and screamed just as loud as we would have had he won himself.
Now that half yearly’s are over and the holidays have begun Kate, jax, meg, Laura etc have left us for Europe and I’ve begun editing shot glass. The last scene is pretty much finished which is wonderful and although every 5 minutes I manage to convince myself the films going to fail and I should look into a job in hospitality the overall process is fun. I’m going in tomorrow and most likely all I’ll get done is capturing but that’s ok. I need to start shooting my ext 2 film soon or it'll never get done but I’m not entirely happy with the script yet... I also need to get stuck into my pip...
ok this entry's long enough now. I really should update more often.
FADE IN: we tilt down into a not so irregular scene in the life of a filmmaker, a mismashed group of teens are sitting on, standing around and hanging off, a children’s play equipment as Kira and her first assistant director KATHRIN set up a large camera to catch the action.
we dolly forward and now can make out the faces of two people CONNAL and BREE sit on the play equipment and speak their lines before their director ever so rudely calls ‘cut’ as a result of the cricket game going on behind her becoming to noisy. Connal slips off his jacket to reveal his bright red shirt as Bree jumps down from the ladder…
so I’ve been shooting shot glass lately and my script writing abilities are seemingly leaving me as a result of slipping into 'director me' as keean calls it. I shot the wall scene 2 weeks ago and it went brilliantly, we shot both days and the weather stayed dry for the majority which was good. Connal and Bree have proved themselves to be the best actors I’ve ever worked with or had the pleasure to watch act, because seriously they're so serious about doing to job right and they take the little bit of direction I need to give them so well... so glad I got them, I cant imagine anyone else in the roles. I had many many extra's the day we shot the wall scene but luckily they all did exactly as they were told which was brilliant. we shot the beginning of the park scene today and will shoot the rest tomorrow I’m worried that because of the sun I’m going to have trouble with people being burnt and continuity being out but it should be ok...Cherie’s friend Cameron picked her Bree and brad up from shooting today and brought A.J from making fantastic shot films with him. (he's his brother so it's not that random) twas good to catch up with him haven't seen him in like 2 years... so doesn't seem that long ago...
relativity moved... well they moved down the road so they didn't exactly move far but they moved all the same. The new place looks more like a holiday house then a film studio but that’s better then their old office which looked like a warehouse... I’ve been there twice now it looks quite good. Keean’s office has a very low roof which I find amusing. Gerardo and Mariana live upstairs so everyone seems to migrate up there when they're not doing anything, I think it would annoy me if I was in that position but they don't seem to mind. I think I’ll miss their old office ... I get nostalgic about things like that... ahh well everything changes. Keean now lives next door to relativity so that’s good for him he doesn’t like having to walk far to get to work.
I have work placement next week at sal paradise at Wollongong uni, I’ll be there 7.30 - 3 Monday to Friday... I’ll be exhausted but josh will be with me so it should be entertaining at the very least.
Well I have stuff to do

EXT. CASEY'S BACKYARD-- DAY Wide and high we crane down through the trees to see Kira and family sitting miss mashed on the back deck of an ordinary suburban home in Shellharbour. Kira sits on the steps playing with her grandfathers old dog BARK, while 3 fluffy white dogs race around searching for attention from their respective owners. we see Kira get up and walk inside INT. HOUSE--DAY We track around CASEY as she sits lazily on a single seat lounge and Kira walks into shot to stand beside her faveourite cousin and continually plays with her newly straightened hair. We move in a slow steadicam to see other relatives MICHAEL, ERIN and ROXANNE as well as Roxanne's boyfriend BILL Michael sits alone on a large lounge looking fairly confident in his surroundings, while Roxanne, Erin and Bill sit on the other and all 4 talk amongst themselves about university, subject selection and general life events. Casey pipes in every now and then before disappearing into another room. so Christams day was pretty awesome, the morning began in its usual fashion of presents presents and more presents my haul this year consisted of a digital picture frame an external hard drive (for my film making) a new camera bag pirates of the Caribbean 3 harry potter (newest) bridge to terrabithea - dvd not book. the new chaser book LOTS of chocolate a new wallet from erin CNNNN from jodie virgin suicides also from jodie pretty bracelet from aunty kerry casey and daniel went to aunty kerry's place for chirstmas lunch which turned into us not leaving till almost 7pm which is something new and different as we usually leave at like 4. hung out with casey most of that time as per usual, she straightened my hair which was cool i've never had it that straight, i liked it better straight so have decided to go get myself a straightener sometime soon. Daniel got his family bricks - i know that sounds weired ... wait for the story. they were bricks from the kiln my grandad made years ago that's now being pulled down by the new owners of the house and grandad stole the bricks from work one or two at a time until he had all he needed for the kiln in one of mums old school bags so jodie is gonna keep it on her book shelf and when people ask she'll say "my grandfather stole that brick" Roxanne who moved to sydney a few years back i guess came to chirstmas this year (she didn't come last year so it was kinda a shock) she came with uncle trever, michal and her boyfriend bill. She's pretty cool, awesome dress sense and really smart (shes the one with the 90 something UAI) went to jodie's new place to see it and while its a great house the exciting thing is that out the back is the most perfect play equipment for shot glass! its in a nice quiet area (no roads etc) its in shellharbour area so it wont be hard to get aunty kerry and casey who are in that scene there and the play equipment seems to have everything i need it to have to get the right effect so i'm happy! Erin graduated the other day she got to wear a cap and gown and everything! and now has her certificate in a frame on her wall well i'm sick of typing FADE OUT:
 1) list 20 things you want to say to people but never will 2) don’t say who they are

3) I think I like you... but I’m not quite sure ... I don't think you like me back so I suppose it doesn’t matter
4) you are the most infuriating and hypocritical person I know and you don't even notice. and i can't wait till the day I never have to see you again
5) I’m sorry if I’ve ever upset you or pissed you off because I know i have and i'll never be over it but that’s beside the point thank you for being here I’ll miss you when you move away.
6) you're too critical some times and that annoys me
7) you're amazing and I’m lucky to have you in my life but i wish you saw me as a friend

films= finished 6th version of script am quite proud of it probably not finished yet am sending it to keean soon he'll be able to tell me what to fix.... he's corrupting me... not sure if that’s a good thing or not... I think Lauren would approve ...
yes well its late shall go listen to music now maybe read a book...
ok so I need to update about my time at relativity now or I’ll forget and that would be bad so I went to relativity from 10 30 - 7 on Wednesday last week which was AWESOME i captured cut most of it started on credits got notes (but not many which makes me proud) on my script keean said that if he showed my first draft then my newly revised second draft of shot glass to someone they would be impressed at how fast I caught on and that he could go out and shoot my film from that script and it would turn out pretty close to what I see in my head which also makes me proud. we talked about movies (and he leant me 4, gattaca, vertigo, the crow and goonies and now gattaca and the crow are my fave movies!) making movies, adventures, his life, my life, music people and anything else that came up he showed me how relativity's dolly works and showed me the photography table and some other stuff they have. twas a fun day i got a fair amount done on my film and yeah twas great, I was grounded Thursday for reasons out of my control that I shant get into now. Went back on Friday keean was only there at the beginning of the day he had to set up for the dragon’s game. But he left me some more DVDs: brick, cube and before sunrise all of which I liked. I got a fair amount done the computer annoyed me and David fixed it then I left had a fair long convo with keean via text msgs about learning stuff and his day etc. then had the weekend I worked a couple of times which was a nice waste of time which keeps me paid. Went back today finished my film and it looks pretty keean colour fixed it and now it looks very cool! I’m happy! We talked a lot about his ideals and ideas on marriage TV cars and other stuff showed me how to use their new editing software edius which apparently according to gerado I have to use next time I go there.
Anyway I had a good time I still think keean’s the coolest guy ever and I’m lucky to have him as my mentor! relativity’s cool!
I’m gonna go watch the comedy festival now
A lot has happened since my last update so I’ll try to not forget anything I performed my monologue for year 10 the teacher and my class a few weeks back I forgot my lines which sucked but I stayed in character which was good. I filmed everyone bar Tony’s (because of technical difficulties) with my camera but because of the stupid lights a lot of the footage is shoddy which sucked. The battery also ran out so we had to grab the crappy school camera. Everyone did really well it was a very fun day! I was planning by that point to film drama night as well and being as there was no way I would be able to plug my camera in and my battery wasn’t going to last I decided to ask keean if I could borrow relativity’s camera and of course he said I could and thus I had to go to relativity to pick it up and re learn how to use it. While I was there he went through my script with me and now I get what he was going on about when he said my themes and premise were conflicting. So anyway I went to drama night and filmed with relativity’s hell expensive camera which was sooooo fun! It still wasn’t as good quality as I would have liked but that was the lights fault once again. I’ve re written my script (I’m now up to my 3rd draft) and I’m quite happy with it there’s still things that will need to be changed but I think it’s improved but I guess ill find out what and how to fix it when I go to relativity on Wednesday (I’m editing my youth week film!) my puppy died on wednesday i think it was which was sad, i cried she was really sick so the vet came and put her down, dad buried her while i was at work (thats right my dog I've had for the past 13years dies and i still have to go to work that what happens when your raised by a union officer) i miss her the back yard is so empty now. chip went heaps quite i think he must have known what happened. I went to see new found glory with Erin on Friday night which was also awesome! I’m not that big a fan of nfg but the show was great I liked the opening back rex banner and bought a T shirt and pin of theirs off the bassist and got a free ep which was cool the other opening band the audition were also really good and got the crowd excited. NFG came on and rocked me and ezz only knew about 6 songs of theirs and they played every one which was brilliant! The crowd was really excited and the atmosphere was brilliant! I got home heaps late and was dead the next day but I had to go horse riding and to work so that woke me up I also bought converses! Cost me $80 but I now have new shoes and can stop wearing the same joggers I’ve had since the beginning of last year so all is good. I’ve been horse riding a couple of times this holidays I went on a trail with Sophie and went flat out which was awesome and I went with Mel yesterday and that was also fun it was to wet to go to fast but it was still fun we talked about films friends and concerts so that was cool. easter was fun lots of chocolate! which is always good! i bought heaps of chocolate from woolworths today cuz everythings on special and gave an egg to meg when i gave her the $6.50 and the concent form for vinyl irony so i can use their music in my youth week film and she gave me the cd and my lost boys dvd. Well I’m gonna go I got stuff to do namely burning a disk of the footage I shot when I tried to make a re make of the Blair witch… everyone’s so cute and small!
“Some see the world in colours; some see it in pictures, in textures and in songs. Filmmakers use all of their senses to create and imagine a world that's inside of them and then get it out there for all to see using the wonderful medium of film. Short sited supports a town whose true beauty lies in its tribe of adventurous and imaginative people. Together we create a show that is short sited 11 film festival, and tonight we celebrate the vision of local and national filmmakers.”
Yeah as you can see I went to short sited on Saturday night with Hayley and Kat. Some of the films weren’t that great and some of them were pretty good none of them blew my mind like I’d have liked them to, but it was still a pretty cool night. We got there at about 1/4 to 7 then spent about 10 mins running around trying to find an atm as we assumed we would have to pay to get in and I needed more money if that was the case, but stupid us it was just one of those gold coin donation things so the newly extracted money got spent on more exciting things such as food and drinks. Kat managed to scab us a free program (which by the way is where the opening thing was from, it's the beginning of the directors welcome.) we went in to get our seats and Kat went crazy trying to find the 'perfect' seat, we eventually sat down once Kat was happy and realised martin and his parents were behind us we then realised that martin had in fact entered a film so we decided we'd have to cheer extra loud for his film (which by the way was one of the better films of the night even if he didn't win) we also worked out when the film Keean shot for his friend (now known as Simon) was in the program and Kat decided to cheer loudly for them as well being as I’m generally to shy to do so myself when I’m not high on sugar. Me and Kat went for a walk I can't remember why probably something to do with food, but on our way back in we saw Keean Nicky and someone else I now assume must have been Simon. Keean stuck his tongue out and I followed suit and as me and Kat went back to our seats she began her complaints about his chin hair (which I personally had never noticed). The show started the compare was no where near prepared and possibly a little drunk but that’s ok. There was a film called 'after dark' which scared the crap outta Kathrin which was highly amusing and ‘mulga bill's bicycle’ which I had seen in ice pix last year was also played in this first section. After the first section we had a break went and got food and talked to Keean a bit which as a result of Kat I may be doing some work on his next film (which from memory is some sort of under water murder mystery) which should prove fun. in the second section was Simons film 'later in the afternoon the most amazing thing happened' Kat called out 'go Keean' so I told her to scream for Simon as its his film so she added a 'and Simon' then at the end of the film she called out to them both again and Simon called back a thank you which made the audience laugh, which was rather amusing. We went to meet Simon afterwards so Kat knew who she was cheering for. In the third section I quite liked ‘cowboys and Indians’ and obviously 'the fix' as that was martins film (to which Kathrin danced) the winners were announced ‘the von’ (which was in trop fest) won the open section and ‘the sorrow of war' won the youth section. After the show Kat went and got the ribbon off first prize which is something only she could get away with. we dropped halz back home but the big gates we shut which was an adventure in itself (never run and try to msg someone at the same time its very difficult) so anyway it was a fun night... oh and I’m entering next year Kats not letting me out of this one so I’ll probably enter beauty in suburbia assuming I don't win youth week (which is kind of a given)
me and Kat had been working coffee shop all morning (for election day at the school) which had involved promoting and sticking signs to our principal which was fun!
I went horse riding on Sunday and got covered in mud which also proved fun.
Well I have to go do this whole school thing; I perform my monologue tomorrow... scary....
After artspace closing early on Wednesday and me working on Thursday me and Hayley ended up going on Friday instead but it's ok because it was actually open this time! We looked at all the pretty artwork which was actually really good I think I liked David’s photos with the writing on them and Keeans burlesque style art the best. We listened to the tea party thing for a bit but didn't understand what was going on so we stopped. we watched a whole heap of films I cant remember what they were all called but we watched Keean’s 'pale blue life' and 'the dark minute' one of Melvin’s films David’s film I think was called 'the last girl on the beach' or something to that general effect anyway a film about Anzac biscuits going to war which was highly amusing miss Natelankos film which I think was called 'the last secret' which was about a gay guy who committed suicide and left a letter to his little sister telling her that he was in love with his male teacher, it's funny because the teachers name was Tony and he was in love with the student as well. we also watched a jackass style one which was kinda funny and I think that’s it... but yeah they were all really good and me and Hayley both agreed that 'pale blue life' was the best one there (and being as Hayley thinks so to I’m not even being bias!) keean msg'd me while I was there telling me he didn't get into short sited which seriously sucks because it means the stupid judges have no taste I’ve seen the beginning of it and I read the script when I was doing work experience and I think its cool but oh well like he said as long as all the other films at the festival are better its ok that he didn't get in.
I have to write an essay for English today which I’m kind of nervous about because I don't think I’ve prepared enough but there’s not much I can do now just try to remember my quotes and hope for the best... I got English ext after school today I’ve read more of Dracula but I still don't think I’ve read enough to be up to what we're studying but I’ll live. I worked yesterday for 4 hours and afterwards I went to leading edge and bought H.I.M deep shadows and brilliant highlights and 3 pins so I’m happy! I’m gonna go clothes shopping next weekend because I need some new shirts that aren’t band ones... I also have to decide when I want to edit suburbia so I can give dates to keean and put in unavailable’s at work ... I’m thinking about the Wednesday Thursday and possibly Friday (depending on if I decide to do 'sight' or not) after Easter... we'll see I also have to stop being a wimp and ask keean or Marianna if I can do 3 days work experience while you guys go off to camp... I will get to that... eventually...
anyway I better go that whole school things getting closer
... drama night 3rd of april 7pm... god I'm nervous...but i get to film... that could be fun...
Once again I haven’t updated in forever but hey shit happens.
I’m doing a monologue for drama called 'the patient of a saint' I’m playing a lady whose husband is wrapped head to toe in bandages because of a car crash but is very self obsessed and likes to ramble which is fun, of the class I like Laurens, Vanessa’s and Tony’s the best!
SAC (society and culture) is an awesome subject which so far has involved me and Hayley running around the school bribing people for their opinions on the war in Iraq, but all in all I love the subject. English ext has been filled with weird and wonderful conversations and lots and lots of food which is always good we're studying gothic literature i.e. Dracula etc which is fun
jaxi's party came and went which was very cool I love Fernando’s pizza and her party's always rock! I filmed most of beauty in suburbia on Sunday which was awesome fun no matter how dead I was during and afterwards the shots were pretty and catching up with Lauren is always fun
I was suppose to be going to a Paramore concert on the 6th of April but they cancelled so now its just new found glory unless town hall steps (most awesome band ever because they let me use their music in my youth week films last year) get the opening gig then I’ll be much more excited.
I’m going to relativity art exhibit at project artspace for anyone who’s interested on Wednesday (as it’s apparently not open on Tuesdays) with Hayley which will be awesome I can't wait to see the short films that are playing, there’s one by miss natelanko so that shall be interesting...
I’m also opening the coffee shop on expo night and election day with Kat and Bree and going to short sited film festival with Lauren on election day also which will also prove fun and then of cause there’s the whole monologue night on April 2nd which will also be interesting,
well I’m gonna go now I think I’m all up to date

And the holidays are over and school starts today ... can we all go back to kindergarten and pretend this whole HSC this doesn’t exist?
so I’ve done a fair bit this holidays or at the very least I’ve been more productive then usual I’ve been to the movies about 3 times with Erin which was fun Lauren came back from where ever she went safe and sound which is good and gave me a god awesome poster of Valo which has now got prise positioning on my wall I went to Liz’s place twice to organise her music video although I don't know if we're making it any more as she's quit her band... we'll see went to Hayley’s place and bought ice cream from the ice cream man! and watched movies and generally hung out, I’m working on about 5 ideas for films that I’ll probably end up sending in for youth week or ice pix and I’ve been working on my films that I don't actually have hand in until the end of next year but hey I like to be prepared I went to see Keean at relativity and he taught me how to write scripts which is good and showed me the add he's editing for gateway Holden and the short film he was filming back when I did work experience there which was awesome by the way, it wasn't finished yet but it looked brilliant! I’ve been working a lot and have saved $1000, we have new uniforms which no one seems to like that much, I don't mind them except the fact they remind me of my primary school uniform... I have decided that I’m no longer going to Canberra uni but am going to the uni of western Sydney in Penrith cuz they actually have a film course there! I’m excited! well I better go... there’s that whole school thing that starts in about an hour... great... lets hope that I don't hate drama as much as I think I will and that I’m in the same class as Hayley for hospitality... kizz
